Childcare First Aid Training

HLTAID012 – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

This Childcare First Aid Training course gives educators, childcare workers, teachers, education support staff and carers the skills to respond to first aid emergencies involving infants, children and adults. Furthermore, the course follows Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines, legal requirements and workplace procedures.

As a result, participants can respond more confidently during medical emergencies in education and care settings.

In addition, participants learn how to recognise illness and injury, contact emergency services, perform CPR, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), administer asthma medication and use adrenaline auto-injectors.

Throughout the course, you will also learn basic anatomy and physiology, the differences between adult, child and infant CPR, the Chain of Survival, and treatment for common illnesses and injuries. Consequently, you will be better prepared to protect children and others in your care.

Why Choose Childcare First Aid Training?
