LVR and First Aid Course
HLTAID011 Provide First Aid & UETDRMP018 Perform Rescue from a Live LV Panel
This LVR and First Aid Course is designed for electricians, electrical workers and anyone who performs live electrical work or works around live switchboards. Furthermore, the course combines nationally recognised First Aid training with Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) procedures to help participants respond safely and effectively during electrical emergencies.
Throughout this LVR and First Aid Course, participants learn how to perform a rescue from a live low voltage (LV) panel, administer CPR, use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and provide first aid until emergency services arrive. As a result, participants gain the practical skills required to meet workplace safety obligations and industry requirements.
In addition, the course covers health and safety responsibilities, risk management processes and safe work practices for electrical environments. Training follows Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines while also meeting the mandatory requirements for Low Voltage Rescue training.
Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) involves responding quickly to save life or prevent injury during an electrical incident. Therefore, this training is essential for workers who may need to rescue a colleague from live low voltage electrical equipment.
