The UETDRMP010 – Provide First Aid in an ESI Environment course provides workers in the Electricity Supply Industry (ESI) with the specialised knowledge and practical skills required to respond safely and effectively to workplace emergencies involving electrical hazards.
This nationally recognised training prepares participants to identify emergency situations, provide an initial first aid response, manage electrical burns and electric shock injuries, perform basic life support (CPR), and follow established workplace first aid policies and procedures.

Assessment Requirements
Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.

Entry Requirements
Participants must:
- Hold a current HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Statement of Attainment or HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- Be physically capable of completing practical first aid activities, including manual handling of a simulated casualty
- Have sufficient English language, literacy and numeracy skills to complete written and practical assessments
- Supply and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during practical activities
Certificate Renewal Requirements
The Electricity Supply Industry recommends this qualification be renewed every 12 months to maintain workplace competency.

What Happens at the Course?
Assessment Activities
Performance tasks:
- Management of an electrical burn and shock
- Completion of an Incident report form
Theory assessment – A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice and short answer questions. The student must complete all assessment questions.
