dispose of sharps, infectious waste and cytotoxic waste in accordance with workplace procedures and legislative requirements. <strong>Furthermore<\/strong>, this nationally recognised course is suitable for workers who may encounter hazardous waste in healthcare, construction, cleaning, maintenance, transport and many other industries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Throughout this Safe Handling of Sharps and Infectious Waste Training course<\/strong>, participants learn how to minimise exposure risks, use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), safely dispose of hazardous materials and complete workplace documentation. <strong>As a result<\/strong>, participants develop the confidence to protect themselves, their colleagues and the public.<\/p>\n<h2>Who Should Complete This at an Emcare WA training facility or delivered onsite for workplaces and group bookings. <strong>Alternatively<\/strong>, eligible participants may complete online learning before attending the practical assessment.<\/p>\n<h2>Course Duration<\/h2>\n<p>Course duration may vary depending on the delivery method.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Refresher:<\/strong> Minimum 150 minutes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Face-to-face:<\/strong> Minimum 240 minutes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Online with face-to-face:<\/strong> 60-minute practical assessment session<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Entry
