This nationally recognised Fire Extinguisher Training course provides the skills and knowledge required to prepare for emergency situations, identify and assess small emergencies, safely use initial response equipment and report on a facility’s emergency response.

Entry Requirements

Participants must have the physical capacity to complete all practical demonstrations. For example, participants must be able to safely confine emergencies using initial response equipment.

Pre-course study: Students may need to complete online pre-course work before attending the face-to-face session, depending on the course delivery mode.

Online study: Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic device with internet access to complete online or pre-course study.

Assessment Activities

Assessment includes practical tasks, documentation and theory assessment. Additionally, participants must complete all required assessment activities to the appropriate standard.

Theory Assessment

In most cases, certificates are issued on the same day. However, certificates may also be issued the following day or on a Monday if training is completed on a Friday afternoon.
